Bob Proctor the Secret contributor and author July 1934
Bob Proctor the Secret contributor and leading advocate of the Law of Attraction, grew from a kid with low self esteem to a worldwide teacher and business consultant.
Isn´t that an inspiration to us all?
Proctor was born in July 1934 in a little town in northern Ontario, Canada. His early childhood was marked by his poor performance in school. Later he dropped out of school altogether to join the navy.
After leaving the navy with no real aim in his life Bob Proctor the Secret contributor drifted from one dead-end job to another. It was at this point a good friend saw something in Proctor that he was unaware of himself.
Isn´t that often the case with low self esteem, others can see something in you that you can´t see yourself!
As Bob says himself, "When I was 26 and totally lost, Raymond Stanford placed Think and Grow Rich in my hands and suggested I read it every day. That was on October 21, 1961. I followed his advice, and I have shared the book with 10's of 1000's of people all over the world."
Bob devoured every word the book had to offer and from ingesting the information on a daily basis found the courage to set up his own office cleaning business. It took off in a way he could never have imagined and within in a year had grown internationally.
Achieving this level of success, with only the minimal knowledge of goal-setting and self motivation, urged Proctor to find out more.
The search to discover more information lead him to study under his mentor, Earl Nightingale of the Nightingale-Conant organization. Bob Proctor the Secret contributor learned all he could about personal development and began to create ideas of his own.
Whilst the Nightingale-Conant organization primarily distributed their self development programs through the post, Bob wanted to take his ideas directly to the individual, giving them a one-to-one tutorial. This idea proved to be a huge success for Bob Proctor.
By the mid 1970´s Bob Proctor had set up his own seminar company and gained a contract with Prudential Life Insurance Co. in Chicago to coach a few hundred of their agents.
It was during his first seminar that Bob outrageously suggested that any of the agents would be able to make five million dollars worth of business that year if they only put their mind to it and made the decision to do so.
In the 100-year history of the company, no agent in the Chicago area had ever made five million dollars worth of business before!
But, bearing in mind the seminar took place in July half way through the year, one agent did actually create five million dollars worth of business by the end of the year. In fact over the remaining six months of the year the performance levels of the entire division showed a substantial increase.
Bob Proctors career as a motivator and business consultant had become established and would go on to be hugely successful.
Bob Proctor the Secret contributor has gone on to become an author, lecturer, counselor, business consultant, and entrepreneur. He now travels the world teaching the benefits of positive thinking and self-motivation from the ideas he learned from Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale and Wallace Wattles.
One of Bobs greatest assets is his ability to explain things in such a way that is easy for anyone to understand, or as someone who attended one of his seminars says, "Bob Proctor... brings all the great wisdom of Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles and others into a coherent whole that anyone can take home and apply..."
Bob has shared his ideas and expertise with hundreds of businesses throughout the world and helped thousands of people of all ages. As well as worldwide lectures Bob has also found the time to write his international best-seller You Were Born Rich, plus many others.
